I'd really like to know something about indigenous bush tucker, particularly the use of plants.
a Went to TNR in 2010 and tasted (abatoir-killed, butcher-supplied) emu, kangaroo, wallaby and possum.
b TAMS has some web (local copies at ...\Bush Tucker if they ever disappear) brochures which mention aspects of bush tucker:
Aboriginal Culture tidbinbilla region indigenous plant use
Aboriginal Culture grinding grooves
Aboriginal Culture namadgi national park yankee hat rock art site(although the plant use descriptions and diagrams in the hard copy brochure are not included in the web version).
c Trying to arrange an indigenous ranger to show us about.
d Went to Tuckertime Walk at the Botanic Gardens 17 Sep 11.
e Purchased book Wild Food Plants of Australia by Tim Low.
