Getting There

Drive to the gate at the intersection of Warragamba Avenue and Eucumbene Drive Duffy.  Narrabundah Hill, Cooleman Ridge and Mt Arawang are the hills on the western edge of Duffy and Chapman.

Walk

I did this little walk with my good friend Peter B.  We wandered from the starting point up the track to the trig point on Narrabundah Hill, a bare and open hill since the pine trees burnt.  Then down to the end of Hindmarsh Drive and round the back street of Chapman to where the Cooleman Ridge walking tracks begin.

Excellent work being done by the local conservation group in regenerating native growth.  A quick jaunt to the trig point of Cooleman Hill, with views back along where we'd come, over the city  and views on along the ridge to Mt Arawang.

We continued along the ridge, with little seen views to the west over the horse paddocks to the Bullen Range, then up Mt Arawang.  After a brief stop we rolled down the hill and tromped the footpaths back to Duffy.

Distance: 10.5km  Time: 12.20pm-3.30pm with brief stops.
