Walk

Track

A diverse and happy group met at Parkway and we motored down to under the powerlines on the Tidbinbilla Road. 3 more met us there, making 20.

We used a ladder to cross the gate into 'Booroomba', Mike B leading off and Edwina Y watching the tail, which allowed me the freedom to wander up and down the line and chat. Through gates at the cattle yards and to the start of the climb - that strung us out a bit. One fence to carefully negotiate. Pleasant weather with a wafting breeze. As we climbed, views opened up to the Tidbinbilla Range to the NW and Miowera Trig and the South Bullen Range to the N. The nearby Tuggeranong and Lanyon suburbs could be seen.

A couple of us ran out of puff at around the 820m contour and, feeling as crook as a rook for some reason, I was happy to stay and lie on the grass.

17 made the top and enjoyed the views and arvo tea.

With time passing, I wandered up towards the top, meeting the group coming down at 3.50pm. My gourmet arvo tea of (quartered, of course) cucumber sandwiches and a fancy chocolate was delivered to me (thanks Fi, I enjoyed the sambo for breakfast the next day and Gay the choc!).
