Track Notes

The evening of a 37°C Canberra day. Another unsuccessful attempt to combine CBC walking and geocaching. No offence meant Phillip- I’ll just have to control myself or lead my own walks with geocaching as the primary objective ;-). I hope I don’t get thrown out of CBC. But what can I do with bonek leading me on. Today mr_roo was also there and gave us a few hints.

Found GC48V8G The Planets 1 – Sun whilst the walkers were gathering.

A gentle stroll (with bonek and JohnnyBoyACT running to catch up) generally N to E of the saddle between Mt Ainslie and Mt Majura and return. Well paced to use all the available daylight.

We found GC48VA7 Planets 2 – Moon, GC49RMJ Majura Mausoleum, GC37Z87 Squirrel’s Mountain Outpost (thanks muggle Mark), GC48VCC Windswept and GCA265 City Country. This last one needed the geo-iTorch to ensure that fingers were not going to grasp anything bitey or stingy in the fading natural light.

Party

11 walkers. 3 visitors and 8 CBC – Mark B, Virginia D, Katrina H, Bob L, Jeff P, Phillip S (leader), Chris S, me.
