Maps: Canberra and Tuggeranong 1:25000

Walk Description

This walk was organised and led by Peter W as a Wednesday walk:

Wed 16 – Mount Taylor – Medium walk 6 km. Leader: Peter W. We will meet in Chiefly and walk south up Mount Taylor on foot pads, and down to the southwest corner of Torrens. Then west around Mount Taylor and climb from the western side, and down to Pearce and back to the cars, perhaps for coffee. Total climb about 400 m, should take less than 2 hours. Maps: Canberra and Tuggeranong. Meet at the first bend of Waldock Street, Chifley, at 7:30 am. According to BOM, the temperature should be about 18°C at 8am and 28°C at 11am, so at 7:30 to 9:30 the temperatures should be reasonable.

12 of us met.
